Iwa in Ifa can be seen as I-wa, the principle of wa, the latter meaning 'to guide, to steer'.

The Buddhist concept Tanha if often sometimes translated as 'thirsting Will' or as 'Thirst'.

In Gnosticisms and its off-shoots, notably ill-famed Aleister Crowley, the same phenomenon is called 'Will'. Likewise Schopenhauer and Kant are calling this instance 'Wille' but from a different angle.

Because the word 'will' will be easily confounded with the assumed 'will' of the human mind, I'd like to call it 'Higher Will', or the will of the 'Higher Self'.

Another formulation of my theorem from Sunday, which created some confusions, hehehe, would be that 'what tanha/iwa/higher-will is 'thirsting' that will arrive...

This would be all very cool, if it wouldn't be for the circumstance that the 'ordinary human' does NOT have awareness of what exactly s/he wants on a higher level.
I call this layer 'superconscious' in contrast to the conscious and subconscious levels.

The are of enlightening could be defined as bringing this 'super will' into the realm of consciousness and to make this state last for more than some minutes. In these rare moments, the 'ordinary will' is non-existent. A lot of silly efforts arise from the observation of the latter, for example the efforts in some religions of 'subdueing' that will or surpressing it, all of which will make it only stronger.

We are experimenting here in Brazil with variations of a polarity super-charging process with combinations of the basic polarity Otura-Iwori (one of the 256 base polarities, or Odu, in Ifa) in order to create a feasible process for 'everyone'. We'll see...

In the meantime a clarification:

Definition of Super-Energy:

"An virtual energy created when base energies are sustained in a DEPOLARIZED way."

Most depolarization processes, such as Zivorad's PEAT Neutralization, create the state of mind called 'Pleroma' in Gnostics. This state is highly beneficial and the process depolarizes a polarity profoundly. HOWEVER, the result is an EMPTY, UNLIMITED space which is missing the 'super energy' that the Being REALLY wants (see the theorem!!)

An example more close to Earth is music: the listener to music is not interested in the rhythm and notes as such and by themselves BUT IN THE MOOD they create when performed. The mood is to the notes of the music what the super-energy is to the energy of the base polarities.

Another formulation of my theorem would be therefore: A Being strives for the experience of a certain mood. If it cannot arrive at it in a clean way, it will substiture it with 'dirty' polarities or any possible trick to arrive at it. The lengthy scripts we see in many archetypes ALL strive to arrive at a final mood.

An interesting process is the realization of one's own fairy-tale or myth of life. (I don't remember anymore the organization(s) that are administering this process in America). If successfully coached, the person can enter a state of super-awareness of one's own super-conscious desires (and may find the truth in the theorem stated on Sunday!).

... but I just throw this in - you never know what happens:

looking at the development in physics - the material side - we went from very deterministic to less and less so where now is not much left that would be outside us or without our influence.

Then looking at the mental, spiritual side there is more and more effect from something separate than our inner world to become more objective - thinking of the global consciousnes and such stuff.

So, they seem to approach each other. The idea now that in physics we look for the one formula or symmetries that would explain all observable phenomena and in the spiritual world we are looking to understand patterns like the archetypes that then in turn explain all observable spiritual phenomena.

Now the throught that both of these basics may be the same, and the spiritual and physical are just one very basic polarity that are still born out of the same set of watchamacallits.

Hi max,

Just catching up on your postings here and I've got to put my tuppence worth in here. I have listened to you talk about this empty pleroma before and I think you've got the wrong angle on it. I think it was Luca who posted on T4R about this a while ago and made the point that pleroma is not tao. Pleroma is just a foretaste of tao as is any neutralisation. Tao is only accomplished when yin and yang are finally neutralised and you cannon out of the physical universe.

Of course nobody can know this for sure (and still have a foothold in the PU) but it this makes a lot more sense to me than your reverse gunas approach where you activate or "super-charge" polarities again.

It's taken me a while to see where you're coming from on this but I must say that I see much more promise in Ed and Luca's view of the matrix as something which can be neutraliseed in the vertical direction by working on olodus (or whatever level is available) and eventually, by working upwards, getting to the stage where yin/yang can be tackled.

Let me know if I've mis-interpreted your stance on this. I know it's hard for a shango to let go of his power but for the sake of being total potential (or OT) I think it's a price worth paying.

Actually, I've just realised that all this ties up with what Gunter wrote (yin being MEST and Yang spirit) and hence as you agree with him you'll probably agree with me. Perhaps it's just the way of achieving the result that's contentious!

All the best anyway, hope to see you in Copenhagen,

Conal
